Bass-Dannreuther Die State a/b. Repunching within the 0 in the date is the pick-up point for BD-6, a Bust Right variety seen much less often than the Bust Left B-8. The reverse of this wheat-gold representative appears practically Mint State. The obverse shows only a hint of friction on Liberty's face and forehead curls. The strike shows minor incompleteness, but luster dominates the reverse, as well as the obverse border and Liberty's curls. Marks are relatively few, with one tick noted near obverse star 8. Although lightly cleaned long ago, the eye appeal is excellent for a briefly circulated example of a highly elusive early gold type coin.
