This is a rare and excellent Choice AU 1877-S Gold Half Eagle with attractive luster and surfaces. It is scarce in the high AU53 PCGS Grade. Just 26,700 pieces were originally minted, and this coin is among the rare survivors of that mintage today. Quite a scarce Classic Coin!
