EON Ticket e-Card
which was an event key item in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire used to be able to take the player to Southern Island and capture either Latios or Latias.
The EON ticket was a promotional Pokémon e-Card distributed at E3 2003, included in the September 2003 issue of Nintendo Power, and for a limited time available at Toys "R" Us stores.

EON ticket e-Card. My goal is to let those who never got to experience this event in person as kids be able to do so.
The best part is that the e-Reader code works!
If you own an e-Reader you can go ahead and scan the included EON ticket and see for yourself that it will detect the Southern Island event which you can then load it into your version of Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND - it might take a few scans to make sure that the ENTIRE dot code is captured clearly, but it WILL eventually read it! I personally test each card to make sure they at least read 3 times before shipping it
