I am offering this great looking flute that is marked “ LE MAIRE PARIS “. This flute has a great history . It was previously owned by RUDOLF SCHRAMM ( 1903 - 1981 ) . I personally received this metal flute from his widow Martha in 2008 . She was a neighbor of mine in Berkeley Township NJ . After her husband RUDOLF died , in 1981 , she ( nee MARTHA BLUHM ) relocated to central NJ and I received this musical instrument along with some of his personal papers ( that I have not yet sorted ) . Rudolph Scramm was born in 1903 and was best known as a composer , orchestra conductor and arranger that worked for years in 1930’s and 1940’s live radio broadcasts as well as a film score composer . Nanook of the NORTH was his most famous film soundtrack work . He was also a famous musical instructor working with Eubie Blake amongst others . The flute comes with an old paper receipt for repairs dated 1974 . His name is scrawled along the top of the receipt . The flute comes with the original case . The case shows alot of wear . The flute was stored for years and has a coat of dirt and grime . It needs to be cleaned . I do not see any damage to the 3 piece instrument . I am not sure of the age of the item . Also included with the 3 piece flute are the 2 collars that fit on the ends while being stored and a cleaning rod . I am sure the pads on this instrument will need to be replaced . FREE SHIPPING .
